Borbor Limited Company exists because Issahaku Abdul Gafaru refused to accept that Ghanaian talent should lose to bad ground. Every project since has started the same way: test the ground first.
Our Story
Before Issahaku Abdul Gafaru ever held an engineering blueprint, he was out on the dirt pitches, boots laced, chasing a football. Football was not just a sport to him. It was life, hope, and the ultimate dream.
As a footballer, he lived the reality of Ghanaian sports infrastructure firsthand. He saw world-class talent on the streets and in local communities. He also saw those same dreams shattered in a single afternoon, not because the players lacked heart or skill, but because of a bad pitch. Twisted ankles, torn ligaments, uneven ground, flooded dirt fields, and jagged rocks ended the careers of some of the finest players he ever shared a pitch with.
That broke his heart. People often think players in the West are inherently better than players in Africa. They are not. The difference is not talent. It is facilities. In the West, a 10 year old trains on smooth, FIFA-standard turf with proper lighting and safe surroundings. In Ghana, kids are playing on rocky, dust filled ground that breaks their bodies before they even get a real trial.
His promise to every young athlete in Ghana and across Africa is simple: your dream to become the next Messi or Ronaldo will never be cut short because of a bad pitch.
That passion is why Borbor Limited Company exists. Giving Ghanaian youth a fighting chance meant building world class sports facilities. And because a great pitch needs solid earthworks, proper drainage, and structural backing, that passion naturally expanded Borbor Limited Company into a full scale civil engineering, road construction, and building firm.

To become Africa's leading sports infrastructure and heavy civil construction firm, transforming every local community with safe, modern stadiums, flood proof drainage, and solid roads.
To construct world class, FIFA-grade sports facilities and durable civil infrastructure across Ghana and Africa, ensuring young athletic talent thrives on safe surfaces while communities benefit from resilient engineering.
Community & Government Partnership

Every facility Borbor builds sits inside a community, and every community has leaders who carry the weight of getting it right. From site visits to handover, we work directly with the local leadership behind each project, because a stadium or a road that a community had no hand in is a stadium or a road that community has no reason to protect.
What We Stand For
Every material and design choice is tested against one question: will this protect the people who use it.
A facility belongs to the people around it. Local youth, elders, and residents are part of the planning, not an afterthought.
Every project gets an honest look at the upsides and the downsides of each choice. The goal is the smartest option, not the most expensive one.
Soil, climate, and material science get researched before a single excavator moves.
The materials and methods chosen are what will actually last, not what is easiest to sell.
Labor Illusion, No Illusion
Every project starts with a real conversation, not a sales pitch. We sit down with whoever is behind it, a traditional leader, a district assembly, a corporate sponsor, or a private investor, to understand not just what is being built, but why.
A facility belongs to the community around it, not just the client who commissioned it. We conduct field research and talk directly with local youth, sports leaders, elders, and nearby residents to understand true usability.
Ghana's climate varies drastically, from the coastal salt air of Greater Accra to the heavy downpours of Ashanti and the intense heat of the North. We test the earth to determine exact excavation depths and design customized drainage specific to that site.
The research comes back to the client as an honest, open conversation, not a sales pitch dressed as advice. We do not push the most expensive option. The goal is the smartest one.
Once the client approves the tailored blueprint, our engineering teams and heavy machinery take over. This is the stage most competitors start at. We start here last, on purpose.
“A bad contractor builds for today and leaves you with the maintenance nightmare tomorrow. At Borbor Limited Company, we build centered on people, backed by environmental research, and guided by total transparency. When we hand over the keys, you get a facility that belongs to the community, survives the elements, and stands as a point of pride for decades.”
